President Barack Obama is reassuring foreign leaders the U.S. won't abandon its alliance obligations despite President-elect Donald Trump's tough campaign rhetoric. Obama met with the Greek president and prime minister Tuesday and said world leaders need to pay attention to people's fears of economic dislocation in the midst of globalization.

Speaker Paul Ryan has received the unanimous nod from GOP colleagues for another term as Speaker. House Democrats, facing disarray, announced they are delaying this week's leadership elections until November 30th.

A Utah high school student is in custody after stabbing five classmates in the boy's locker room before being subdued by school employees. Officials say he was a straight-A student with no disciplinary history and was new to the school.

A three-year, 60-million-dollar repair job of the Capitol Dome is done with two months to go before Inauguration Day. The scaffolding around the dome has been removed. More than 1300 cracks in the dome had been repaired.
