Two Florida businessmen tied to President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani have been arrested and charged with campaign finance violations. Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman were arrested trying to board an international flight with one-way tickets. The two face charges related to a $325,000 donation to a political action committee supporting Trump's re-election.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says he's working to get back on the campaign trail "as soon as possible" after suffering a heart attack last week. He walked back comments from an interview this week that suggested he'd be slowing his pace. Sanders sent a video message out Thursday saying he's quote “feeling great."
And climate protesters in New York bringing traffic to a standstill in busy Times Square Thursday. Climate change activists parked a boat in the middle of an intersection and sat down refusing police orders to move. Environmental groups have been involved in a wave of demonstrations worldwide this month aiming to raise awareness about inaction by governments on climate change.
And a double announcement this year for the Nobel prize for literature. The Nobel committee announcing Thursday that Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk won the 2018 Nobel prize. The 2019 award goes to Austria's Peter Handke. No prize was awarded last year due to sex abuse allegations that rocked the Swedish academy
