The White House continues to put race, social justice and southern heritage at the center of president Trump's 2020 re-election campaign. In a tweet Monday, Trump criticized NASCAR for banning the Confederate flag and called on Bubba Wallace to apologize after the FBI determined there was no hate crime behind the discovery of a rope in Wallace's garage stall that looked just like a noose.

New York City is entering phase three of its reopening, and nail salons, tatoo parlors and indoor tanning salons are all allowed to get back to business. However, mayor Bill De Blasio says indoor dining will postponed indefinitely to prevent a spike in new coronavirus infections.
The Supreme Court has ruled that states can require presidential electors to back their state's popular vote winner in the electoral college. So-called faithless electors have never decided a presidential election, but could do so if a few electoral votes spelled the difference. The ruling was unanimous.
Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels, known for the way he played the fiddle and the hit "Devil Went Down to Georgia" has died. His publicist says it was a stroke. He was 83.
