The hand-written notes included requests for their favorite foods, grilled pork and vegetables, said one. The team coach also offered his apology to the parents in a separate letter.

President Museveni of Uganda will host talks today on a possible power sharing deal between South Sudan’s government and rebels. They agreed on Friday to withdraw troops from urban areas. The efforts are intended to boost a permanent ceasefire reached last month after nearly 5 years of civil war.
