A Taliban bomb attack has hit a hospital in southern Afghanistan, killing at least 20 people. The militants said an Afghan intelligence services building had been the target. Elsewhere at least 9 people had been killed in an air strike in the eastern Nangahar.

Mr. Gantz rebuffed Mr. Netanyahu’s proposal of a joint unity administration with his Likud party, calling it spin. Neither side has won enough seats for a majority after Tuesday’s election.
