朝鲜试射导弹引发热议

据联合国网站报道,朝鲜常驻联合国副代表朴泰勋4月7日在联合国纽约总部向新闻界表示,该国4月5日进行的导弹发射是成功的。他同时表示朝鲜不会理睬安理会有可能对该国的发射活动做出的任何反应。
朴泰勋用英文说,“无论安理会采取什么措施,我们都不会理睬,因为这是不正常的、不民主的、具有针对性的,使用的是双重标准。每一个国家都享有和平利用太空的不可被剥夺的权利,已经有一些国家数百次发射卫星,难道说他们可以发射,我们却不被允许这样做吗?这是不公平的”。
The news bulletin ran on KRT, North Korea fired a long-range missile over the weekend, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
"It's a provocative act that has grave implications; North Korea ignored its international obligations, rejected the unequivocal calls for restraint and further isolated itself from the community of nations."
Pyongyang is flexing its muscles as US President Barack Obama has been overseas, trying to find common cause on the global economy and shore up support for US efforts in Afghanistan. Bruce Klingner of the Heritage Foundation.
"So it's not only a test of the Obama's Administration, both to see whether its actions match its, so far commendably firm rhetoric towards North Korea, but also how good is Obama at influencing China and Russia to do the right thing?"
The permanent five members of the UN Security Council are meeting to work on a response which has eluded the Council so far.
"Also it's a direct challenge to the UN Security Council, will it defend its resolutions if it wants to maintain any real viability?"
Diplomats say China and Russia would probably accept a Security Council warning to Pyongyang, urging it to comply with UN resolutions and return to the six-party talks, but they would oppose a binding resolution intended to punish North Korea.
