In celebration of this historic event, the rings, the dolls, the plates, the coins! Ah, the delightful keepsakes of an international event.

“Everybody who makes anything that could possibly be attached to the royal wedding, whether it’s condoms or vomit bag, is jumping on the bandwagon.”

You heard right. Branding expert Adam Hanft says Crown Jewels condoms and ‘Throne Up’ sick bags are just the tip of Her Majesty’s iceberg when it comes to cashing in royally on the royal wedding.

“Because this is the first royal event in the internet age, we are seeing every possible marketing channel being leveraged.”

No kidding. There is William & Kate ashtrays, outfits for your pooch, press-on nails, a new comic book series, “Kate Middleton stole my life” T-shirts, even a commemorative refrigerator and toilet seat covers. Hanft says it all adds up to major ka-ching.

“The numbers that I’ve seen are about £500 million in the UK. Across around the world, it could definitely be a billion dollar marketing event.”

Look-alike companies in both London and Hollywood say the demand for actors resembling the royals like those in this ad for T-mobile is off the charts.

“From cell phone ads to smartphone Apps, there are at least 12 new ones on the market. Oh, we take a look at these iphone covers from Case-Mate. They designed four special edition covers for the royal noctules. Oh, just one second. Hello, it's my bookie, yeah, that’s right. Las Vegas and gambling websites are getting in on the action too.”

“It’s no surprise that they are having a whole series of bets and wager instructors based on the royal wedding.”

What colour will the dress be? What about the queen’s hat? Will Harry lose the ring? It's all on the table.

“Vegas will bet on everything, so there will be a lot of money changing hands there.”

That’s, if your hands aren’t already full with an ice-cold “Kiss Me Kate” beer and a royal couple pizza from Papa Johns.
