利比亚当局武装对苏尔特发动“最后进攻”

2011-10-22来源:Sky news

They're throwing everything they've got at Gaddafi's home town in what they're calling the Final Push.

"This is as far forward on the frontline as you can go, over the last 36 hours, the revolution raids have made very good progress, they've covered a large area of open lands betweenthe road and Sirte. It was acting as a buffer, but this gate here, you can hear, the sniper's bullets go past. You can listen to them on the wind, and that's really holding up the Push forward, you go around this gate here, and you come into all sorts of problems, so that's holding up the revolution raids at the moments."

Moments later, a brigade walk through the gates, to try to establish a new position. We follow them out, but the vehicles were immediately targeted.

"Now so many snipers, all buildings, and city, but today we tried, also we can not, but maybe maybe, maybe we can try when inside."

"But the snippers are a big problem."

"Yeah, a big problem, yeah, so many snipper, so many snipper, too much."

It has been a costly advance, although the revolution raids have gained ground, they've lost many men and sustained heavy casualties. They're now reloaded in an attempt to keep up the momentum, the fall of Sirte though may take some time.
