齐白石画作价格拍出天价，高达1.4亿美元！

A set of ink-brush paintings by Chinese artist Qi Baishi has sold for 931.5 million yuan (S$190 million or US$144 million), breaking all records for Chinese paintings, a Beijing auction house said Monday (Dec 18).

据北京一家拍卖行12月18日报道，中国艺术家齐白石的一套水墨画已经卖到了9.315亿人民币(约合1.9亿新元或1.44亿美元)，打破了中国画的所有记录。

The group of 12 panels painted in 1925 were sold at auction on Sunday night, Beijing Poly International Auction said in a statement.

北京保利国际拍卖公司在一份声明中说，齐白石1925年绘制的12幅画在周日晚上的拍卖会上被拍卖。

The self-taught painter (1864-1957) became the first Chinese artist to surpass the US$100 million mark for one piece, the auction house said.

据拍卖行介绍，这位自学成才的画家(1864 - 1957)是中国第一位画作售价超过一亿美元的艺术家。

The work, entitled "Twelve Landscape Screens", depicts mountains, villages and trees in bloom, with soft blue, grey, brown and pink tones.

该作品名为“山水十二条屏”，描绘了山峦、村庄和茂盛的树木，以柔和的蓝色、灰色、棕色和粉色为色调。

The 12 panels measure 1.8 meters by 47 cm. The buyer’s identity has not been revealed.

山水十二条屏每条屏纵长180cm、横长47cm。买家的身份尚未透露。

Qi Baishi was one of the world’s most valued Chinese artists last year, according to a ranking published earlier this year by Artprice.

根据今年早些时候Artprice发布的一份排名，齐白石是去年全球最受尊敬的中国艺术家之一。

The value of his work by auction turnover came in third behind his compatriot Zhang Daqian (1899-1983) and Spaniard Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) in 2016.

In 2011 one of his works, an eagle on a pine branch, sold for US$55 million in Beijing.
