北京至平壤航班复飞，中朝友好共有一片天

Chinese flag carrier Air China Ltd. is resuming flights to North Korea’s capital, the latest indication of improving ties between the two countries after tensions over Pyongyang’s pro-nuclear actions.

中国国际航空股份有限公司(中国国航)将恢复飞往朝鲜首都的航班，这是两国关系改善的最新迹象，此前朝鲜拥核行动引发了紧张局势。

Air China suspended flights to Pyongyang in November, blaming poor ticket sales. The move came at a time when the U.S. and the United Nations Security Council were stepping up sanctions and economic pressure on North Korea over its continued nuclear and missile tests.

中国国航去年11月暂停了飞往平壤的航班，理由是机票销售不佳。当时正值美国和联合国安理会因朝鲜继续进行核武器和导弹试验而加大对朝制裁和经济施压之际。

On Tuesday, the airline’s website showed round-trip flights from Beijing to Pyongyang as once again being available, starting Wednesday. An Air China phone-booking operator said the company issued a notice Tuesday announcing the company’s Beijing-to-Pyongyang route had been reopened, though it wasn’t clear for how long.

周二，中国国航的网站上显示，从周三起，北京往返朝鲜的航班将再次开通。中国国航的一位电话订票员称，该公司周二发出通知，宣布国航北京至平壤的航班重新开通，但不清楚将开通多长时间。

Zhu Mei，a company spokeswoman confirmed the resumption of flights but said he didn’t know the reason for the change.

“All we have is the notice. I don’t know why,” the spokeswoman said.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country’s airline regulator didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

The resumption of flights, first reported by Reuters, comes a week before an off-again, on-again summit is due to be held in Singapore between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The two leaders are expected to discuss the possible dismantling of North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.

Air China started offering regular connections from Beijing to Pyongyang in 2008. The airline’s booking website showed flights available three times a week—the same frequency as before last year’s suspension—for 2,360 yuan ($368).
