联合利华公然反抗提价禁令
Consumer product giant Unilever has hiked prices on some of its products in China. More than 70 products are around 10 percent more expensive in stores around the country. The price rise comes just three weeks after the company was fined 2 million yuan by China's top planning agency, for talking about increasing prices.
中国消费品巨头联合利华提高它旗下一些产品的价格。整个国家的商店里超过70种商品价格大约上涨10%。仅仅三周前该公司就因谈论涨价问题而被中国最高计划机构罚款200万元,现在又要提价。
The National Development and Reform Commission said the comments intensified inflationary expectations among consumers, and distorted market order. Unilever had promised to temporarily halt any price hikes, but prices in supermarkets around China suggest otherwise. The company's not commenting, and the NDRC is investigating.

Surging raw material costs are pressuring consumer product makers to hike prices. But with inflation nearing three-year highs, China has banned price hikes on products ranging from instant noodles to soap.
