商务部承诺控制上涨的物价

The Ministry of Commerce has promised to combat rising food prices. Pork alone jumped a whopping 57 percent year-on-year in June. The Ministry says it will use central and local pork reserves to increase market supply and stabilize prices.
商务部承诺将与不断上涨的食品价格作斗争。今年六月份，单单猪肉价格就比去年同期上涨57%。商务部表示将动用中央和地方的猪肉储备来增加市场的供应量，稳定物价。

Pork prices are climbing fast. They contributed a fifth of China's overall CPI in June, which stood at 6.4 percent, the highest level in 3 years.
猪肉价格攀升得很快。六月份，它们占了中国CPI的五分之一，增长了6.4%，是3年来最高的增幅。

The Ministry of Commerce says it will use the country's pork reserve to check inflationary pressure.
商务部称会动用国家的猪肉储备来抑制通胀压力。

"The central pork reserve is 200 thousand tons. Such a scale is able to meet the demand of consumers. We are now ready to put the pork reserve into the market to stabilize prices."
“中央的猪肉储备是20万吨。这样的一个数量是能够满足消费者的需求的。现在我们准备把储备猪肉投放到市场以稳定物价。”

The Ministry says one major factor in the high pork prices is the information gap. Pig farmers cut back on production after losing money during last year's glut. The Ministry is working to modernize the agricultural sector to prevent a repeat.
商务部表示，猪肉价格高的一个主要原因是信息差。去年供过于求亏损之后，养猪户缩小了养殖规模。商务部正致力于实现农业部门的现代化，以避免该事件的重演。

"Through ongoing efforts, we hope to set up a complete, modern circulation system for agricultural products, to guarantee market supply and avoid price fluctuations."
“经过不断的努力，我们希望建立一个完善的、现代化的农产品流通系统，以保证市场供应，避免价格波动。”

The Ministry says price increases for food slowed last week. But pork prices still rose 2.3 percent between July the fourth and 10th. Prices of flour and rice both climbed 0.4 percent from the previous week, cooking oil went up 0.4 to 0.6 percent, and eggs gained 0.3 percent.
商务部称，上星期食品价格上涨的速度减慢了。但是7月4日至10日期间，猪肉价格仍然上涨2.3%。从上周开始，面粉和大米价格攀升了0.4个百分点，食用油上涨了0.4%至0.6%，鸡蛋上涨了0.3%。
