四川辣椒节

Sichuan food is famous for its spicy flavor, but if all there was to eat was the hot pepper itself, there would be fewer fans of the fiery food. Nevertheless, some people quite enjoy the challenge. Now, let's go to Sichuan to meet the "King of Hot Peppers" who happens to be a woman.
川菜以其辛辣的口味而闻名，但是如果要吃的东西全都是辣椒，那么这种热辣辣的食物的粉丝将会更少。然而，一些人很喜欢这种挑战。现在，让我们一起去四川认识认识这位叫“辣椒之王”的女子。

The Hot Pepper Festival is full of fun, creativity, the color red, and a whole lot of "spicy flavor."
辣椒节上充满了乐趣、创造性、红颜色以及很多“辣味”。

There's a pepper eating competition in Sichuan said to be the hottest anywhere. True or not, these beauties are darn hot, and it takes a certain talent to finish 20 hot peppers within 3 minutes. Ms Liao was the winner last year, and in the women's competition this year, she was still the only one who could do it.
在四川，有一个吃辣椒比赛，据说这里是最辣的地方。不管是否如此，这些美丽的辣椒是辣得要死，在3分钟内吃完20个辣椒是要某种天赋的。廖女士是去年的冠军，在今天的女子比赛中，她仍然是唯一一个能完成的人。

The next challenge was against the winner of men's category. And still, Ms Liao was the fastest one to get the job done.

Meanwhile, the "Four People - Two legs" competition attracted a lot of people to participate. This test of teamwork requires four people to stand on two long boards and walk together as they move hot peppers from one place to another. The fastest team dropping the least amount of hot peppers wins.
同时，“四人两足”比赛吸引了很多人前来参加。这个团队合作的比赛要求四个人站在两块长板上面一起走，把辣椒从一个地方移动到另一个地方。最快的队伍而且辣椒掉得最少就获胜。

But at the Hot Pepper Festival in Sichuan, anyone who likes their food with a little "zing" gets to be a winner.
但是在四川的辣椒节上，任何喜欢有点“热辣”的食物的人都能成为胜者。
