标普意外下调意大利主权信用评级

Ratings agency, Standard & Poor's has downgraded Italy's sovereign debt rating, by one notch to A/A-1. Its outlook has been kept negative, but the new rating is still five steps above junk status.

The agency says it sees weakening economic growth prospects for the nation, and higher-than-expected levels of government debt.
