假证书扰乱有机螃蟹市场

Crabs have joined the ever-growing organic food market in China. While consumers are provided with more choices, they’ve also been forced to weed through an expanding list of fake organic products.
螃蟹已经加入中国不断发展的有机食品市场行列。消费者在拥有更多选择的同时，他们也被迫去除不断增加的假冒有机产品。

All these organic crabs to choose from, but they may not be quite as organic as their labels say.
全部这些有机螃蟹都可供挑选，但是它们并不像标签上标的那样有机。

Food quality supervisors in Beijing have recently discovered fake organic crab certificates.
北京食品质量管理者最近发现假冒有机螃蟹证书。

A staff member from Certification and Accreditation Administration said, "The certificate number can not be found in our system. It’s fake."
国家认证认可监督管理委员会的一名科员称：“证书号码在我们的系统上找不到。它是假的。”

The crab brand has not applied for organic certificate as well. In Kunshan, East China’s Jiangsu Province, the production base of this brand, the owner admits he abused the certification he was given. He owns two crab brands, one is organic, the other not.
螃蟹的商标也没有申请有机证书。在中国东部江苏省的昆山，这个牌子的生产基地，老板承认他滥用颁给他的证书。他拥有两个商标的螃蟹，一个是有机的，另一个不是。

A brand owner said, “I own both brands so I thought the certificate could be used for both of them.”
一名商标所有者表示：“我拥有两个商标，所以我认为该证书可以用在这两种螃蟹上。”

The owner now realizes his actions have broken the law. “I’m sorry about the mistake. These products are now off the shelves. They were only sold in one shop in Beijing.”
该所有者现在意识到他的行为已经触犯了法律。“我对这个错误感到抱歉。这些产品现在已经下架了。他们只在北京一家商店销售。”

But a quick acknowledgement of his mistake may not change the fact that a case will be built against him.
但是，快速承认错误并不可能改变其即将被控告的事实。

Xu Bin, vice director of Kunshan Bureau of Quality & Technical Supervision, said, “According to the rules, we will confiscate the products and the profits made from selling these products. The owner may face further fines.”
昆山质量技术监督局副局长徐斌指出：“根据法规，我们将没收了产品和销售这些产品所获的收益。所有者可能面临进一步的处罚。”

It’s not just a single case. The administration that gives out organic product certificates initiated a national campaign for organic crabs last month and six companies were found with similar problems of faking certificates or over-promotion.
这并不是一个个案。颁发有机产品证书的部门上个月开展了一项全国性的有机螃蟹整治行动，发现六间公司也有类似的假冒证书或过度宣传的问题。
