三月的电影：妇女的节日

March used to be a poor time for movies. But things have changed. This month for example, seven domestic movies are being screened, including "Simple Life" which won the best actress at last year's Venice and a bunch of golden horses in Taiwan. Some of the movies feature modern love stories while some reincarnate ancient romances. But there is one thing in common: they're all targeted at female audiences.
三月过去一直是电影院的困难时期。但是事情已经改变了。例如，这个月将有7部国产电影上映，其中包括去年在威尼斯赢得最佳女演员奖、在台湾赢得几项金马奖的《桃姐》。一些电影以现代生活故事为特色，而一些则再现了古代爱情故事。但是有一点是相同的：它们都是以女性观众为目标。

"A Simple Life" tells a touching story about an old maidservant who has served five generations and is sent to a nursing home after suffering a stroke. The son of the master offers meticulous care and accompanies her in her last days. The film took 13 million yuan or nearly two million US dollars, at the box office on its first day.
《桃姐》讲述了一位伺候过五代人的女佣在中风之后被送去老人院的感人故事。主人的儿子在她最后的日子里陪伴她、给予她无微不至的照顾。该部电影在上映第一天就取得1300万元，约合200万美元的票房。

Apart from family love, "Rhapsody of Marriage" and "Love Lifting" shed light on the lives of modern young couples and issues like career and family, love and duty.
除了亲情，《结婚狂想曲》和《高举•爱》阐明了现代年轻夫妻的生活和事业与家庭、爱与责任这样的问题。

However, the power of love never fades. Delicately made "Liu Ru Shi" features the legendary romance of a talented girl of the same name, during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

And Hollywood and China joint production "The Locked Door" takes you back to 1930s Shanghai as you witness how a girl struggles with fate.
