李娜两连胜晋级大赛16强

China’s Li Na was looking to continue her run as she took on Varvara Lepchenko. Li, started strong as she broke Lepchenko’s serve twice on her way to winning the first set 6-2.

She continued to dominate proceedings at the start of the second set and broke early before Lepchenko fought back to make it four apiece.

The fifth seed though would dig deep to take the next two games and the match with a 6-4 second set win. Li will now face Spanish wildcard Garbine Muguruza in the fourth round.
