世界各地的援助到达菲律宾
Aid is starting to reach some of the most remote areas of the Philippines more than a week after Typhoon Haiyan devastated the country. The super typhoon has killed almost 4,000 people and left nearly 1,600 missing.
In Tacloban, the largest city on Leyte Island and one of the hardest hit areas by the typhoon, a tent city was established as a temporary shelter for some of the survivors. Local officials claimed damaged roads and airports caused the delays in distributing relief aid. More than 270 million US dollars in foreign aid have been donated to help the victims of the super typhoon.
The first batch of Chinese aid for survivors of Typhoon Haiyan has arrived in the central Philippines' city of Cebu. The relief aid includes tents and blankets, which were shipped by a China Eastern Airlines cargo plane. The aid was handed over to the Philippine government on Monday.
