中国船只抵达南印度洋

Search efforts in the southern Indian Ocean resumed Wednesday after being put on hold Tuesday due to bad weather, which is forecast to return on Thursday. Three Chinese ships have now reached the area that’s the current focus of the search, some 2,500 kilometers west of Perth Australia.

The Chinese navy’s convoy of ships include a supply ship, a missile destroyer and an amphibious transport vessel. The crews of the ships use radar and other optical equipment to search for clues. Ship-based helicopters are also flying missions over the search area.

Meanwhile, a Chinese military plane has now returned to base after another day searching the area.
