习主席赞扬中国的核发展

China celebrated the 60th anniversary of the beginning its nuclear industry on Thursday. Chinese President Xi Jinping praised the achievements made in the industry with great contributions to the country's national security and economic development.

He credited the hard work and innovation of several generations of nuclear scientists and workers. President Xi said that the nuclear industry is a high-tech and strategic industry, and the bedrock of China's national security. He said China should continue to innovate and use nuclear power in a peaceful way to open a new chapter for China's nuclear industry.

Premier Li Keqiang also spoke on the development of China's nuclear industry. He said China should export its nuclear equipment and ensure the absolute safety of its technologies.
