刘德华十年后重返春晚舞台

The traditional Spring Festival is less than a month away, so is CCTV's Spring Festival Gala. The annual show has been part of Chinese people's new year celebration for decades. And ten years after his last appearance at the event, Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau will be performing once again at this year's renewal.

The 2015 CCTV Spring Festival Gala is shaping up to be one of the best yet, as Hong Kong super star Andy Lau returns to the stage. This will be his fifth time to perform on the gala stage -- his last appearance in 2005.

"Andy Lau is an established artist who enjoys great popularity across the country. Plus he has a new song, which is perfect for the occasion. We believe the song and Andy Lau's voice will truly touch the audience," Stage Manager Wang Gongguan said.

This year's gala will take the all age-groups into consideration. The cast includes senior singers like Yang Hongji, Yu Shuzhen, and Guan Mucu, as well as middle-aged stars Na Ying and Han Lei.

Young people will also see their favorite stars including Hong Kong powerhouse singer G.E.M. , Hong Kong singer and actor William Chan, as well as Kris Wu and Lu Han, former members of South Korean boy band EXO.

CCTV Spring Festival Gala has been broadcast on the eve of the lunar new year since the 1980s. This year's show will see Ha Wen return to the director's seat for the third time.

The 2015 CCTV Spring Festival Gala will be aired on 18 February, the eve of the Year of the Sheep. Organizers say there will not be a lot of singing this year, but they promise every song will be worthy of the gala stage.
