中国谴责越南护照脏话事件

China's consulate general in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City has expressed condemnation over a border official who defaced a Chinese citizen's passport.

A Chinese woman on Saturday found her passport scribbled with vulgar messages after the border agent handed it back at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The scribblings were on two pages, with one containing the dotted line denoting China's sovereignty over the South China Sea.

China's consulate general says the 'offensive scribbling' on the passport was shameless and cowardly. And added that the incident had stained the dignity of China and its citizens. Vietnam is set to conduct its own investigation.
