1.condemnation n. 谴责，非难，定罪， 非难或定罪的理由

如：She cares nothing about the condemnations of her action. 
她对别人对她行为的多方谴责一点也不在乎。

The Chinese are unanimous in their condemnation. 
全中国人民一致提出谴责。
 
2.shameful adj. 可耻的

如：They considered her behaviour a shameful piece of snobbery. 
他们认为她为人势利, 行为可耻.

These shameful manoeuvreswere aimed at securing his election. 
这种可耻的伎俩都是为了能让他当选.

3.depression  n. 沮丧,萧条

如：During the depression, millions of the unemployed wandered around in the streets. 
经济萧条时期, 有好几百万的失业者在街头游荡。

In time of depression, there were no enough jobs. 
萧条时期, 没有足够的工作机会。

4.groove n. 凹槽,惯例

如：The sink shelf is grooved so that the water will run off. 
洗涤池上开槽是为了让水流走。

Wheels leave grooves in dirt roads.

5.productive adj. 能生产的,有生产价值的,多产的

如：She was elected a productive worker. 
她被选为劳动能手。

I spent a very productive hour in the library.
