Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid is used to grilling guests on the sofa every morning, but she is cooking up a storm in her latest role — showing families how to prepare delicious and nutritious meals on a tight budget.

【参考译文】每天清晨，《早安英国》的主持人苏珊娜习惯了坐在沙发上向节目嘉宾不停发问。不过，在其主持的最新的一档节目里，她开始大秀起厨艺，向人们展示如何既能少花钱又能烹制出富于营养的美食。

【参考解析】本句是一个由but连接的并列句。难点是对up a storm的理解。这是一个不常见的非正式用法，咱们看看《韦氏高阶》的解释：up a storm--- used to say that something is being done with a lot of energy or enthusiasm 干劲十足地/ 满腔热情地 其多见于北美英语，经常前面跟talk/ sing/ dance/ cook/ gab/ write...等动词连用，多用于描述某一特定期间的情况。

【参考解析】本句结构不是很复杂，主句里出现了一个同位语—Save money: Good Food; 主句后跟了一个由which引导的非限制性定语从句。

注意理解to follow in the footsteps of/ to follow in someone’s footsteps: 继承，效仿 ，追随，步人后尘

She followed in her mother's footsteps, starting her own business. 她效法母亲开办了自己的公司。

He followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a doctor. 他继承父业，成了一名医生。

【参考解析】这是阅读B 的最后一段。最难理解的是段首的With food our biggest weekly household expense。这句话是紧接上文（见22.句分析）而来的，上文指出了该系列片在节目形式的继承性，本句话接着点明新系列片制作的缘由---保健品是一大花销，食物更是，因此诞生了该节目。因此段首的with + 名词 + 名词短语 应该分析行为with的复合结构作原因状语。
