Water Polo press conference: High-tech competition venue gets ready

At a press conference on March 13 for the upcoming "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Water Polo China Open, the event organizing committee briefed the media about preparations for the six-day tournament scheduled to begin on March 18 at Beijing's Ying Tung Natatorium.

Since a number of sport events have been held at the Olympic Sports Center, the venue team has acquired rich experience in competition management and venue operation.

Through renovation, the venue fully exhibits the core of a "Green Olympics," "High-tech Olympics," and" People's Olympics." The environmentally friendly material of Beijing's Ying Tung Natatorium adopted new products to avoid ozone-depleting substances. The whole venue is well equipped to meet the needs of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Water Polo China Open.
