as yet 到这一时刻为止

【讲解】

此语用于否定句或疑问句中，表示“到这一时刻为止”，例如：As yet, there’s been no news.(到目前为止还没有消息。）此语的反义语为not yet(尚未,还没有），多用于对疑问句的回答，例如：A: Would you care for something to eat? B： Not just yet, thank you. (A:你要不要吃些东西？ B:谢谢你,这会儿还不饿。）在英语中也常用up to 一语来表示到什么时候为止,例如:up to now (到现在为止）。

A：What's your job?
A: 你是做什么工作的？
B: My job? I haven't finished school as yet,but I will next year.
B: 我的工作？我还没毕业呢，不过明年就毕业了。
A: What kind of job do you want to do?
A: 你想找什么样的工作呢？
