go round in circles 瞎忙

【讲解】

go round in circles 和 run round/around in circles都有"在原地兜圈子,毫无进展，白忙，瞎忙”的意思;但与run circles around sb.有区别。后者指“比（某人）做得出色,轻易超过(某人)”。

【对话】

A:Our teacher asked us to recite the text again.

A:我们老师又要我们背诵课文了。

B:Do you have to remember every text?

B:每篇课文你们都要求会背吗？

A:Yes. He says recitation is good for us to learn English.

A:是的。他说背诵对我们学习英语很重要。

B:I think so. But I know many people just think that's going round in circles.

B：我也这么看。但我知道很多人都认为那是瞎忙乎，没有什么用。
