just the job/thing 正是想要的东西

该习语的意思是“正是所需要的东西”。例如：Thanks for that screw, it was just the job.(谢谢你给我的那个蜾丝，我正需要呢。） just the thing 还可以说成 just the very thing,表示“正是所需的事物"。例如：Her proposal was just the thing.(她的提议正合所需。)

A:Mum, did you see the books Iborrowed from Angela?

A:妈妈，你见过我从安吉拉那儿借来的书吗？

B:Yeah. I put them on the top of the cupboard.
