5.4 Look for a Job 找工作

M: It's time to graduate and it's time to find a job. Susan, why do we need to find a job?

M：要毕业了，也是该找一份工作的时候了，苏珊，我们为什么需要找工作呢？

W: We need to work is because we need money to live. We need money for food and clothes and to pay for house. We need money for many different things, and only when we work, we can earn money. And work can also help us feel that we are useful.
W：我们需要工作是因为我们需要钱来生活，我们需要钱来买食物和衣服，还要为我们的房子付款。还有很多不同的东西我们都需要花钱，只有当我们工作了我们才能够挣到钱，而且工作可以让我们觉得自己是有价值的人。

M: But you know it's hard for a new graduate to find a god job right now.
M：但是你知道现在对于一个新毕业的大学生来说找一份好工作很难。

W: Yes, it is really hard. But you must believe that you will find a suitable job finally. When you work, you can accumulate a lot of experience. Besides, you need to learn a lot of things while you are working.

W：是很难，但是你必须相信你最终会找到一份合适的工作，还有当你工作的时候你能积累很多的经验。除此之外，在你工作的时候你需要学习好多东西。

M: I've been fed up with study.
M：我已经学腻了。

W: But whether you like it or not, there’s a trend of life-long study to make sure that we can keep ourselves up with the high developing society. And you need to accept this concept positively.
W：但是不管你喜不喜欢，现在有一种趋势，就是我们要在一生中不断地学习以确保我们的能力跟得上高速发展的社会，你需要积极地接受这个观念。

M: Oh, my. Why there are still so many things to learn after graduation?
M：哦，天哪，为什么毕了业还要学那么多的东西呢？

W: You have no choice, so you'd better adjust your thoughts to be ready to learn anything at any time.
W：你别无选择，所以你最好调整你的想法以准备在任何时间学习任何东西。

注释：

1．“besides”的意思是“此外，而且”。例如：I don’t want to come out now, and besides, I must work. 我现在不想出去，此外，我还得工作。

2．短语“be fed up with…”表示“厌倦了…”。
