5.3 Mobile Phone 手机

M: As we know, mobile phones bring people great convenience and shorten the distance among friends and relatives.

M：我们都知道，手机不仅给人们带来了巨大的便利，还缩短了亲朋好友之间的距离。

W: It bears a great many of advantages, but also some weak points.
W：手机有很多优点，但也有一些弊端。

M：是吗？我没觉得它有什么不好的地方。

W: For instance, the mobile phone seriously distracts the attention of people from work and study.
W：比如说，手机在很大程度上使人们把注意力从工作和学习上转移开了。

M: That's true. Some people pay too much attention to their mobile phones.
M：没错，有些人把太多注意力都放在手机上了。

W: Actually, it's not the fault of the mobile phone. But people should have a proper attitude towards it. Mobile phone is a tool serving people, not the fetters restricting them.

W：其实，这也并不是手机自身的原因，而在于人们对待它的态度。手机只是一个用来服务于人们的工具，而不是束缚人们的镣铐。
