Cathererine: that may be true most of the time ,but if you go to a fancy restaurant,they do expect tips.

Jay: that remind me,i was in one of those the me rsetaurants when i get the check,i fund out that the tip had already been added coming from a culture that usually doesn't expect tips i felt cheated.

Cathererine: for those resttaurants which charge tips automatically the waiter and waiterness must share their tip with the owner .and considering that their salary isn't exactly very high the tips are an important part of their income .
