Hello, I'm Neil Nunes with the BBC News.

The CIA director Mike Pompeo says there has been no significant decline in Russian's subversion efforts in Europe and United States since Moscow allegedly meddled in the 2016 US elections. He told the BBC, he expected Russia to try to interfere in US mid-term election in November. Speaking at CIA headquarters in Virginia, Mr. Pompeo said the organization was taking steps to detect such attempt.

I haven't seen a significant decrease in their activity. I have every expectation that they will continue to try and do that. But I'm confident that America will be able to have a free and fair election, that we will push back in a way that is sufficiently robust that the impact they have on our election won't be great.

Mike Pompeo also issued a warning about China, expressing concern about the level of Chinese influence in the US and Europe.

The Irish Cabinet has formally agreed to hold a referendum on liberalizing the country's abortion laws at the end of May. Ireland currently has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the world. The referendum will give people the choice to vote Yes or No on repealing the Eighth Amendment of Ireland's Constitution, which makes the abortion illegal unless the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother. The Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said he would campaign for a Yes vote.

I know it is a difficult decision for the Irish people to make. It is very personal and private issue, and for most of us, it's not a black or white issue. It's one that is gray, about and between rights of pregnant women and fate of the unborn.

The Chilean President Michelle Bachelet has signed into law the creation of the 5 national parks to protect the vast swath of Patagonia. In all more than 40,000 square kilometers are being added to Chile's protected areas. But Chile will incorporate reserves of land owned by a late American philanthropist who founded the North Face clothing label. The donation of land by Doug Tompkins and his wife Kristine McDivitt is the largest gift of land to a government in South America.
