Nancy Pelosi says impeaching president Trump is the only option left, because of the threats he poses to democracy and national security. She was speaking as the house started to debate the process. Republicans have responded to comments by the house speaker by attacking the move, but without addressing the charges Mr.Trump faces.

The Bolivian authorities have ordered the former president Evo Morales to be arrested for sedition and corruption. He is in Argentina to where he fled after facing the accusation of attempting to rig presidential election.

The U.S has filed a case with the appellate body of the World's trade organization. The move comes a week after Washington left the tribunal in capable of working by blocking the appointment of new members. One person at the WTO meeting described the movement as almost comical.
