It was worth the wait!
Robert struggles through the crowd
Robert: Whew! I had to wait for almost an hour to get to the front of the line.
Master Li: You have much patience.
Robert: Wow! Your calligraphy is very beautiful. It was worth the wait!
Master Li: Thank you. Today I'm writing a kind of poem called a Chinese couplet.
Robert: What does it say?
Master Li: This is an especially famous one. It says "May the passing days bring you health and longevity. May this season of renewal find you basked in riches."
patience (n.) 耐心
longevity (n.) 长寿
bask (v.)
struggle (v.)
poem (n.)
renewal (n.)
