美语会话实录第132期(MP3+文本):On a business trip
英文原文:
Joe: Good afternoon. I'd like to speak with Tom Smith.
Helen: I'm afraid he's away from his desk at the moment.
Joe: Do you know when he will be back?
Helen: He's away on a business trip. He won't be back until some time next week.
Joe: Is there some way I can get into contact with him?
Helen: The best way to reach him is by cell phone. I'll give you his number.
Joe: Thanks. And could I have his e-mail, just in case I can't get him by phone?
Helen: Sure. His cell phone is 0911222333. And his e-mail is lower case t, smith--that's one word, at, c, c, w, dot, com, dot, t, w.
Joe: Thank you so much. Does he read his e-mails daily?
Helen: Yes. He usually replies immediately.
Joe: Great. Thanks again. You've been very helpful.
Helen: My pleasure. I hope you get a hold of him.
