The One With Russ

本集简介：

Joey gets bad reviews for his latest play and decides to quit show business... until his agent gets him an audition for a soap opera. He finds out, however, that he'd have to sleep with the casting director to get the part.

Monica starts dating Fun Bobby again; she notices he seems to have a drinking problem. She confronts him and he decides to quit, after which Monica notices he's no longer any fun. Rachel dates Russ, who bears a striking resemblence to Ross.

2-10 Russ代替不了Ross

故事梗概

Rnchel对Ross的爱与日俱增，但是自从Ross在背后说她只是个waitress，
而且有点spliled，还长着chubby ankles (胖乎乎的脚踝)后，她感到很受伤，她找到了一个叫作Russ的家伙，这个人不仅和Ross的名字听起来像，就是长相也几乎一样。不过，Rachel逐是甩了Russ，这家伙还不知道是怎么回事呢……

RUSS: I guess you guys heard, Rachel dumped me.

CHAN: Yeah, I'm sorry man.

RUSS: Oh, all she said was that I remind her too much of somebody. You have any idea who she's talking about?

[Chandler and Phoebe feign ignorance.]

PHOE: Oh I do, it's.... it's Bob Saget. She hates him.

RUSS: Oh.

[Julie... Ross's ex-girlfriend... enters.]

JULIE: Hey.

CHAN: Hey!

PHOE: Hey, Julie! Hey, how are you doing?

JULIE: Um, oh, I don't know. I mean, it's definitely weird not being with Ross, but I guess I'm doing OK. Actually I've got some of his stuff that he, um....

[Russ and Julie look at each other with love in their eyes. The music builds...]

Rachel甩了Russ，但是Russ还蒙在鼓里，他到底是让Rachel想到了谁了呢?英语中，remind sb．of sth／sb．else．表示“让某人想到某事／人”；remind有“提醒”的意思。例如：Remind me to write to Mother．(提醒我给妈妈写信。)Plcasc remind me to lcave her this note．(请提醒我留给她这张纸条。)再如：The filmreminded him of what he had seen in China．(这部影片使他回想起在中国所看到的一切。)

事实上，Russ是长得太像Ross了，Rachel(Bob Saget是不是有点像Ross?)说的somebody是指Ross，她不能释怀。Phoebe与Rachel当然是心照不宣，这时她打圆场地说：
“你一定让她想到了Bob Sager(鲍勃·萨吉特)。”那么，Bob Sager又是谁呢?

原来，Bob Sager是美国几乎家喻户晓的犹太裔大明星(Jewish American actor)，喜剧演员(stand-up comedian)，还是电影导演(film director)。他于1956年5月17日生于宾夕法尼亚州的费城(Philadelphia，Pennsylvania)。他主要以在美国广播公司的情景喜剧(sitcom)《青春满屋》(1987—1995年)(Full House)中饰演父亲的角色，以及在American Funniest Home Video(《欢笑一箩筐》)(1989-1997年)中作主持人而闻名。
