机器人奥林匹克竞赛
在人类对未来的想象中,机器人总是其中不可或缺的一个元素。而当电影导演和科幻迷们还沉迷于新的人工智能科幻故事时,当今世界的机器人英雄们已经摩拳擦掌,以备战机器人竞技史上最盛大的赛事─首届国际仿人机器人奥林匹克大赛。此次大赛于6月21日在中国哈尔滨工业大学举办,比赛设置了田径类、球类等7个门类共24个项目,目前已有来自美国、德国、日本、中国等国家的20多所大学的100多支代表队报名参赛,与世界各国选手共同见证仿人机器人技术的新的里程碑。
Walking, running and even dancing,humanoid robots have been pitting their moves against each other at the International Robot Olympic Games in northern China.
17 international teams have travelled to Harbin to put their robots through the test across 17 disciplines, ranging from sprinting kung fu to boxing and dance.
The rules: robots must be less than 60 centimetres long and be built in human form, with a head, two arms and two legs.
Woojin Lee, whose team Rabun Gap represents the US, is fascinated by his metallic athletes: "I'm pretty sure all those robots in there have been through like thousands and thousands of hours of work until they make it like that and probably that when you see a robot actually working after your work, that's when you feel most excited."
Contest machines dressed up with break dances, popped, locked and rolled to South Korean R&B, and the cheering of the surrounding crowds.
"I'm really embarrassed, thank you, everyone."
