药家鑫执行死刑

The 21-year-old university student Yao Jiaxin who stabbed a young mother to death to cover up a hit-and-run accident was executed on Tuesday morning.
刺死一名年轻母亲来掩盖他肇事逃逸的21岁大学生药家鑫已于周二早上执行死刑。

A death penalty is announced, leaving the 21-year-old killer only despair and regret.
宣判死刑后，留给这个21岁杀人犯的只有绝望和后悔。

Yao's story began last October when he drove into a mother while she was riding a bicycle home. Fearing that the mother would remember his license plate number and report him to the police, Yao stabbed her 8 times, in her chest, stomach and back, and then left her to die.
药家鑫的故事从去年十月开始，当时他开车撞到一名骑着摩托车回家的母亲。担心这位母亲会记住他的车牌号然后报警，药持刀朝她胸，腹，背等部位连刺了8刀，使其当场死亡。

Yao said, "When I got out of the car, I found her lying on the ground, crying. She was a peasant, and it's a trouble, I feared she would come after me, so I stabbed her."
药说：“当我下车时，发现她哭着躺在地上。她是个孕妇，这很麻烦，我怕她会跟着我，所以我刺死她。”

His case triggered great public anger, especially after Yao's alma mater tried to defend him and describe him as a kind, honest and splendid student. Many netizens connected it with increasing incidents of reckless behavior by the country's wealthy younger generation and cries for legal justice by insisting on the death penalty.
他的案件引起了极大的公众愤怒，尤其是当药的母校试图为他辩护，称他是一名善良，诚实和优秀的学生。许多网民将此事跟国家越来越多富二代鲁莽行为联系起来，并坚持对其执行死刑呼吁实行合法的审判。

During the trial, Yao argued his parents force him to practice piano, which resulted in him occasionally smashing the piano keys to take out his anger. He "mechanically" stabbed the mother several times because of this habit. And he hoped for a second chance.
审判期间，药要求他父母强迫他练习钢琴，可这导致他偶尔猛击钢琴键发泄他的愤怒。他出于习惯，“机械地”连刺受害母亲数刀。他希望有第二次机会。

"I would like to talk to her parents, do anything they ask. I hope the government can give me a second chance. I'm sorry. Sorry."
“我想跟她父母谈谈，做任何他们要求我做的事。我希望政府可以给我第二次机会。对不起，非常对不起。”

But the the victim's family wouldn't accept the apology. And the court reject Yao's claim and held his behavior as intentional murder and sentenced him to death. Yao decided to appeal against the judgment.
但是受害者家人不会接受他的道歉。而且，法院拒绝他的请求，坚持他的行为属于故意杀人并判处死刑。药决定对该判决提出上诉。

Yao was executed June 7th. He was sent to the place of execution and force to walk the last fifty meters of his life silently.
