暴雨引起湖南洪灾

The rainstorm in Hunan province has also triggered floods in some places. Our reporter Xia Qiu went to one of the villages by the Wujiang River.
湖南省的暴雨也引起一些地区发生洪灾。我们的记者夏秋赶到乌江一个村庄查看。

"I'm at Wujiang village in Hunan province. The rain storm on Thursday night made the river water rise sharply. The village has been surrounded by floods and has become an isolated island. Large areas of farmland have been destroyed."
“我现在位于湖南省乌江村。周四晚上的暴雨使河水水位急剧上升。整个村庄已经被洪水包围，变成一个孤岛。大部分农田已经被毁坏了。”

It's a bridge on the Wujiang river. Now, it's hard to recognize.
The flood came when all the villagers were asleep. The police arrived in time to evacuate all the trapped villagers. There were no casualties, but the water came so fast that many were not able to save their belongings.
这原本是乌江上面的一座桥。现在，都难以辨认了。洪灾到来时村民们都在睡觉。警察及时赶到现场帮助疏散受困的灾民。没有人员伤亡，但是由于洪水来得太快，许多人还未能挽救他们的财物。

Peng Lansheng, Hunan Villager, said, "The flood came at about 2 o'clock in the morning. Big waves crashed into the door of the warehouse and destroyed the lock. It was so rapid that we could only save several packages of fertilizer. In 1 or 2 hours the water around the house became too deep to approach. "
湖南村民彭兰生说：“水灾发生在大约凌晨两点。巨大的水浪撞上仓库的大门，把锁也毁坏了。洪水来得太快，我们只能挽救几包肥料。1-2小时的时间，整个房子的洪水就因太深而无法通过。”
