暴雨引起湖南洪灾

Destroyed farmland is the most distressing loss for farmers. The flood water covered over 10 hectares of early rice. 60-year old Ren Jinxiang is among the anxious farmers.
农田被毁坏是农民遭受的最痛苦的损失。洪水覆盖了超过10公顷早稻。60岁的任金祥老人是担忧的农民之一。

Ren Jinxiang, Hunan Villager, said, "Our rice field is over there, all under water. I planted the rice in March. The early rice harvest season will come soon, but for me, there will be no harvest. And the flood destroyed my seedlings of late rice, and it's too late to prepare more batches, so I think I will also miss the next season. "
湖南村民任金祥说：“我们的稻田在那里，都淹没在水下面。我三月份种植水稻。早稻的收获季节就要到来了，但是对于我，将没有收成。洪灾也毁坏了我晚稻的籽苗，而且现在太晚不能准备另一批籽苗，所以我想我也失去了下一季的收获
机会了。”

Ren Jinxiang is waiting until September to seed rape on her field. But for some others, the impact will be longer and more serious.
任金祥等待着九月份在田地上播种油菜籽苗。但是对于其他一些人来说，此次影响将会更持久，更严重。

Zhang Desheng, Hunan Villager, said, "My field is low-lying. Last year at this time, the flood water brought a lot of garbage down to my field, which made me unable to grow things. It’s still not recovered yet, and floods have happened again."
湖南村民张德生说：“我的田地属于低洼地。去年这个时候，水灾把许多垃圾带到田地里，使得田地无法种植。现在还未能恢复过来，水灾就再一次侵袭了。”

Heavy rains are forecast in Hunan province over the next week. It's still uncertain how many places will suffer or how big the losses will be.
