农民工子女不一样的暑假

Summer vacation is a time for children to relax from heavy homework, and enjoy outdoor activities with family and friends. But for the children of migrant workers living in the cities, their ways of spending the months long holiday is quite different. CCTV reporter Yuan Xiaoyuan visits one apartment where the family of rubbish collectors lives, to see how children there spent their holiday.
暑假对于孩子们来说是一个从繁重的家庭作业中得到放松并与家人、朋友进行户外活动的时机。但是对于城市里民工的孩子来说，他们过这个数月长的假期的方式是很不一样的。CCTV记者袁晓媛参观了一个收废品家庭的房子，看看孩子们是如何度假的。

Summer vacation is extremely long and lonely for children living in this special apartment.
对于居住在这个特别的房子里的孩子们来说，暑假是非常长、非常孤独的。

Li Zhihong spent most of the time at home alone. Classifying garbage for his father is his moment of pleasure.
李志宏大部分时间都是自己一个人在家。帮爸爸把废品分类是他的快乐时光。

Li said, "I put all the plastic bottles into one pack, and pick out the steeled boxes into another one. I do this only during holidays."
李称：“我把所有的塑料瓶放进一个袋子里，把挑出来的钢铁盒子放进另一个袋子。这些我只在假期期间做。”

Like many other children in the same apartment, Li's parents spend all day out to collect garbage. The little boy has to take care of himself at home.
与许多住在同样房子里的孩子们一样，李的父母整天都出去外面收废品。小男孩在家必须自己照顾自己。

He also has occasional time to play with other children in the neighborhood. The garbage site is their playground.
我偶尔也有时间与邻居的其他小孩子玩。废品站就是他们的游乐场。

"I couldn't go too far when my parents are out. If my dad can't find me around when he comes back, he'll punish me," Li said.
“我父母出去的时候我不能跑太远。如果我爸爸回来，在附近找不到我，他就会罚我的，”李表示。

Li's parents came to this coastal city several years ago. After several years of hard work, they improve their life, and sent their son to be educated in the city. Now Li's father hopes to provide more chances of education for his child, so that he will have a better life in the future.
李的父母几年前来到这个沿海城市。几年的辛苦工作之后，他们的生活改善了，还把他们的孩子送到城市接受教育。现在李的爸爸希望给他的孩子提供更多受教育的机会，以便将来他能过上更好的日子。

Li’s father said, "All our hard work to make money is for the child. So I plan to buy a tutorial class for him during the holiday."
李的父亲表示：“我们努力工作挣钱都是为了孩子。所以我打算在这个假期给他报个辅导班。”

With training classes likely to come during the rest of the holiday, Li Zhihong may no longer feel alone. But his way of settling into urban life is still taking time.
这个假期的剩余时间可能会有训练课，李志宏可能不会再觉得孤独。但是他适应城市的生活方式还需要时间。
