This time, thousands of people attended a parade in Mexico City on Sunday, where they celebrated the beginning of summer vacation for school children. But as you'll see, most of the revelers are way beyond their adolescence.

The municipal government of Mexico City organized this parade over the weekend to welcome summer 2011. According to the mayor, the goal of the parade was to provide entertainment for children and their families, as well as to promote activities that they could enjoy during their summer vacation.

About 1,500 people wearing different costumes participated in the parade. Acrobats, clowns, drummers and jugglers entertained thousands of people watching on the side of the street. The parade drew about 150-thousand viewers, with both local residents and tourists sharing in the fun.
