One of the largest world carnivals designated for children, this year's Shanghai International Children's Cultural and Art Festival has attracted participants from as many as 17 countries and regions.
作为全球最盛大的专为儿童设计的嘉年华之一，今年的上海国际少儿文化艺术节已经吸引力了来自17个国家和地区的参与者。

Under the theme of "Lovely Cities, Wonderful Childhood", 48 children's groups are bringing a range of performances to the Shanghai stage. The children will also take part in a series of activities including a children's forum and visual arts exhibition.
在“美好城市璀璨童年”的主题下，48个儿童艺术团给上海舞台带来了一系列表演。孩子们也将参加一系列活动，其中包括了儿童讲坛和视觉艺术展。

This is the fifth time Shanghai has hosted the festival since it was initiated in 1994, to promote peaceful exchange and build friendships among children across the world.
从1994年开办以来，上海已经是第五次举办该艺术节了，为的是促进各国儿童间的和平交流和友谊的建立。
