美国古巴举行第三轮会谈

Diplomats from the United States and Cuba have begun a third round of talks, aimed at restoring diplomatic relations between the long-time foes.

The US State Department said negotiations will focus on removing limits to the number of diplomatic staff stationed in each country, and giving US diplomats the freedom to travel outside the country's capital.

The two countries had held a first round of talks in Havana after the US and Cuba reached a landmark agreement to work towards normalizing ties.

A second round of talks was held in Washington, with both sides voicing optimism about the negotiations.

Meanwhile, North American football League team New York Cosmos have announced they will take part in a match against the Cuban national team on June the 2nd this year, making them the first American football team to play on the island since 1978.
