matti: those storms last week sure caused a lot of damage.

yukio: they certainly did. almost all the big trees were blown over and some fell on houses.

matti: yes, one fell on my friend dave's house. it destroyed the roof.

yukio: gosh, that was really bad luck. still i suppose the insurance will cover it.
由纪夫：啊，那真是倒霉。不过，保险金应可抵偿损失。

matti: it won't unfortunately because their policy doesn't cover storm damage.
马蒂：可惜的是，没有抵偿。他们的保单，不包括暴风带来的损毁。

yukio: so they'll have to foot the whole bill themselves?
