2009年中国经济增长率将达8%

The second session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's political consultative conference, the country's top political advisory body, will open Tuesday afternoon and last nine days.
Zhao Qizheng, spokesman for the session told reporters that CPPCC chairman, Jia Qinglin will deliver a report on the work of the Standing Committe over the past year, while vice chairwoman, Zhang Rongmin will report how the suggestions and proposals from CPPCC members were handled since the last session. CPPCC members are expected to discuss the report on government work by Premier Wen Jiabao, reports on the work of the Supreme People's Court, and Supreme People's parkritaright. China can achieve its goal of an eight-percent economic growth this year through its efforts.
A spokesman of the top advisory body's annual session said China must try all means to insure a stable and a rapid economic develoopment and strive for the eight-percent target in order to wipe through the severe global finantial crisis. He said the CPPCC members have shown great concerns over the economy.

A spokesman of the top advisory body's annual session said this in Beijing on Monday. Meanwhile a Chinese NT collector claims to be the winning bidder of two bronze relics at last week's Paris Auction. But as a statesman from the National Treasures Fund, Cai Mingchao, said he refuses to pay his winning bid of close to 40 million US dollars. The fund is dedicated to retrieving Chinese relics from abroad. Anglo-French troops stole the rellics from the old Summer Palace in 1860s.
