吉尔吉斯人民逃离种族暴力

It's mainly women,children and the elderly who are fleeing. Uzbeks are lining the border in their hundreds, desperate to leave the deadliest ethnic violence Kyrgyzstan has seen in two decades.

-We have just sticks and nothing to protect ourselves.

-The entire city is in the state of panic. Save yourselves.

They've left behind a city in flames. Osh is being guarded by tanks and troops. The fighting between Kyrgyz and Uzbeks has left many dead and many more injured. The red cross has described the humanitarian situation is critical. The aid effort has been supported by America which has a military base in the north,it's staging post for missions in Afghanistan. Ordinary people are stepping into.

-When people need help ,we must give it. We all live in the same country. We must help each other.

With the risk of civil war, police are trying to move both Uzbeks and Kyrgyz. It seems they believe separating them is the only way to prevent more violence.
