美国小镇新年夜大批飞鸟死亡

2012-01-08来源:ABC news

I thought that was out of Alfred Hitchcock’s movie.

Sometimes, the truth really is stranger than fiction. How else would you explain the day thousands of blackbirds fell from the sky in Beebe.

Forth was mess up when he called me. He got me up at four o’ clock in the morning, told me have birds fallen out of the sky.

Milton Acollar was one of the first Beebe employees out last new year’s day, trying to deal with what has been playfully called the flock lips. Nearly twelve months later, Milton says it still doesn’t make much sense.

--Don’t understand what happens. Still don’t know, you know why all happened.

Autopsy shows the birds died from the blank force trauma. Experts say something like fireworks likely scare the animal. But it’s impossible to know for sure. And conspiracy theorists still call the Beebe police department about once a week.

--Probably as long as the birds are here, people are gonna talk about it.

The conversation will continue. If it comes to Beebe, you still see thousands of blackbirds, and here almost does many stories.

--Once I came up, there were roads speckled with birds and the yard was too.

Air study showed that they were just around this area. No where else. Are you sacred? A little bit? Yeah.

Lutendy Duke says the Beebe police department plans to increase patrols this weekend, to try to make sure no one has the bird brinded idea, to try to recreate what happened last New Year day by shooting off commercial grade fireworks. For ABC news, I’m Rogers Suzanne.
