越南的一场车祸造成14人死亡，其中包括新郎

Fourteen members of the same family were killed in a car crash in central Vietnam on Monday en route to a wedding party, including the groom, who died instantly when their van hit a container truck, police said.

警方称，周一，越南中部一家14人在参加婚礼的途中发生车祸，其中包括新郎，他们的车撞上了一辆集装箱卡车，导致新郎当场死亡。

The victims of Monday’s car crash in Quang Nam were members of an extended family who were heading to the bride’s family home in a neighboring province, a police officer said.

一名警察说，周一在广南省所发生的车祸中的受害者是一个大家庭的成员，他们正前往邻近省份的新娘家。

Their 16-seater van collided with a container truck at around 2.30 am local time, killing 13 people instantly. Another died later in hospital.

当地时间凌晨2点30分，他们的16座面包车与一辆集装箱卡车相撞，13人当场死亡。另一人后来在医院去世。

"All victims’ bodies were brought back to their home for burial. We are treating some of the injured in a local hospital," said the policeman, who requested anonymity.

“所有遇难者的遗体都被送回家中安葬。我们正在当地一家医院治疗一些伤者，”一位要求匿名的警察说。

Local authorities said Monday they were investigating the cause of the deadly crash.

Road accidents are the leading cause of death in Vietnam, where traffic laws are loosely obeyed and road infrastructure is patchy.

在越南，交通事故是导致死亡的主要原因，那里的交通法规不严格，道路基础设施也不完善。

Around 8,200 people died in traffic accidents across Vietnam last year, down from about 8,600 the year before. Most of those killed were on motorbikes.

去年越南各地约有8200人死于交通事故，比前一年的8600人有所降低。大多数遇难者都是骑的摩托车。
