奥斯卡提名电影盘点
Hello, with news just out of the Oscar Nominations announced in Los Angeles, and a little glimpse of what may be to come next year a list of the hottest but not yet produced film scripts. Back to the 1920s, and down into the depths of London's tube with the rerelease of Anthony Asquith's stylish drama Underground, with a new score by Neil Brand, and back even further to 19th century France to the barricades.
Do you hear the people sing? Well, they're singing on the big screen now. The director of Les Miserables, Tom Hooper on dreaming of that dream later. But today, 5:30 am in Hollywood we had the Oscar Nominations, and Tim Ruby, film critic of the Telegraph was watching them and he's here now.
"So Tim the establishment film, if you like, with Steven Spielberg's Lincoln gets 12 nominations. I mean it's out there in the front as you might expect the establishment film to be. What about the surprises?"
"It's certainly the heavyweight contender Lincoln with 12, but if you bear in mind three of those are for acting and you look at the film that came second which is Life of Pi with 11, was never likely to get acting nominations. So it's done remarkably well to rack up 11 to be honest with you. And then the other thing to look at is how well Silver Linings Playbook has done. It's been nominated in all four acting categories, 'cause it is a very surprising nomination for Jacki Weaver, best supporting actress alongside Bradley Cooper, Jenifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro, so the first film since 1981 to get to score nominations in all four those categories."
